2017 Summer Draft Analysis

In 2017, the San Benito Vigilantes and the Investors had two of the best drafts in recent memory in the Billy Martins Players League.

The Vigilantes drafted Tristan McKenzie, Dylan Cease, and Jesus Sanchez in the first three rounds, while the Investors drafted AJ Puk, Brandon Woodruff, and Luis Castillo.

The Vigilantes' draft was a Grand Slam, as all three of their picks have become key members of their team. McKenzie has been a dominant pitcher, Cease has been a reliable ace, and Sanchez has been a solid contributor in the lineup.

The Investors' draft was also a success, as Puk, Woodruff, and Castillo have all been key members of their team. Puk has shown flashes of brilliance, Woodruff has been one of the best pitchers in the National League, and Castillo has been one of the best pitchers in the American League.

These two drafts helped to set up both teams for success in the Billy Martins Players League, and they are a testament to the scouting and development of both organizations.
